Connecting you to Help and Support through the COVID-19 Lockdown

When the well-being center that I work from on a Thursday was closed due to COVID19 lockdown I still wanted to use that time to offer support. So, I decided to offer free half hour sessions in April on a Thursday.

That same week I saw a post on Facebook from who is a Grief and Loss Counsellor. She was looking to bring people together offering free support for anything COVID19 or Lockdown related. I agreed to attend the first group Zoom meeting on Friday 3 April and during that meeting, the CO-LAB was created!

We are a group of health and well- being based businesses who are offering free support during the COVID19 pandemic. When I was given the opportunity to be a part of a Collective offering help, I jumped at the chance! There are 12 of us in total right now with the opportunity for it to grow further. We all specialise in different areas of health and well -being, live in different areas of the UK, and bring a wealth of experience and knowledge. But more than anything we are all committed to helping and supporting others through this crisis.

We decided as a group to deliver therapy, counseling, practical tips, and solutions but also a listening ear or a friendly face for people to talk to who were experiencing issues such as: Anxiety, low mood, fear, feeling overwhelmed, loneliness, relationship worries, and grief and loss. As a group, our focus was to help people find some calm, improve mental health and well- being but also offer a chance for individuals to “reset and re-focus” in the midst of all this madness!

We have a Directory. People can browse through the therapists, have a look at our details, see our profile photos, and also look at a short video that we have put together individually talking about how we can help. It’s simple. All our details including websites and email addresses are there making it easy to contact the therapist of your choice. If you are not sure who could help you, just get in touch with any of us and we can find the right person to work with you. Facebook:

I’ve loved it! I think I’ve loved being connected to this fabulous group of people as much as I love being able to help others through the crisis! I am always telling my clients about how important it is to have the right people around you. This group has certainly helped me!. What it has done for me personally has given me a new positive focus which has been key to my motivation and happiness over the last few weeks but also some great new connections. Tipping the balance from unhappy to happy can sometimes be as simple as having the right people around you or sharing your thoughts with someone. So, if you are reading this and feel you want to reach out then do it! We are the Co-Lab and we are here to help!!
